AMERICAN INTELLIGENCE. PUBLIC PURPOSE.A proposal by AlphaBravo

Libraries, culture & civic life

Make knowledge easier to explore.

American Super Intelligence will help libraries, museums and archives make knowledge easier to explore. Staff and visitors will use public AI to investigate local history, learn new skills and examine sources.

Practical uses

Archives and local history

Explore rights-cleared collections while retaining source links and distinguishing evidence from reconstruction.

Creative practice

Develop an outline, compare ideas or adapt a public program for different reading and accessibility needs.

Community learning

Offer practical workshops, supported access and alternatives for people without suitable devices or reliable connections.

AN EXAMPLE IN PRACTICE

A library prepares a workshop using a small collection of public historical records.

  1. Staff choose materials they may use and ask AI for discussion questions and a draft timeline.
  2. They verify dates and quotations against the actual records, marking gaps instead of filling them with invented history.
  3. Participants explore the sources, challenge interpretations and create their own account with attribution.

THE HUMAN CAPABILITY

What people will learn

  • Preserve provenance and attribution.
  • Distinguish creative invention from historical claims.
  • Make room for reasoned disagreement and accessible participation.

THE DELIVERY PATH

How access will work

LibertyGPT will support everyday library activities. Supervised Liberty OSS workshops will let participants run models, compare answers and understand their limitations.

Understand the model families

How success will be measured

Look for meaningful participation, source understanding and access across language, disability and digital-experience differences.

Requirements for this use

Public access does not erase collection rights or make every generated account accurate. Institutions should retain review, correction and community input.

This scenario describes the proposed experience. Product evaluation and the responsible organization’s approval will precede deployment.
